For your consideration is an outstanding dark base boulder opal from Queensl
and, Australia.  It features an especially brilliant (4.8/5), electric display of primary colors, including emerald green, sapphire blue, vibrant gold, and fire-engine red!  As with most very bright opals, this one is somewhat directional.  The slightly contoured pear cut gem weighs 2.80 carats.  It measures 14mm long by 8.5 mm wide by 4mm deep. The stone has no cracks or crazing.  There is a small void in the opal layer on the right edge.  As ever, this is an ALL-NATURAL, untreated, genuine gemstone.
