For your consideration is a fossil wood boulder opal from Queensland, Australia. It features modestly bright (2/5) red multicolors, with some nicee woodgrain detail. The buff-top, oval-cut stone weighs 14.83 carats. It measures 19mm long by 14.5mm by 6mm deep. No cracks, crazing, or chips, but there is some slight pitting due to the softness of the matrix.
As ever, this is an ALL-NATURAL, untreated gemstone.
