It is developed to allow the reel covers to be mounted while the reel is on or off the rod. It also protects reels from any shock that it may come to. It readily stretches for an easy slip-on fit to your reel. These covers are designed to fit over right-handed reel configurations, but can be used on left-handed reels if you're okay with having to turn the cover inside out.
